Pour trois de mes prochains ouvrages, j'ai gardé et brodé les versets en anglais.

Néanmois je souhaiterais proposer une traduction élégante pour chacun d'entre eux

1 . Margaret a brodé ce texte :

Connaissez vous la significations de "SERP" ?

2. Caroline a brodé ce texte sur l'amitié :

"Tell me ye knowing and discerning few
Where I may find both firm and true
Who dares stand by me when in deep distress
And then his love and friendship most express
In whose strict conduct all the world may see
Benevolence faith hope and charity"

3. et enfin, d'une petite fille de 12 ans qui ne nous a laissé que ses initiales et son nom de famille :

"Time speeds away-away-away
No eagle through the sky of day
No wind along the hills can flee
So swiftly or so smooth as he
Like fiery steeds from stage to stage
He bears us as on from youth to age"

Je serais ravie si vous pouviez m'aider pour ces traductions!!!

I think SERP is an incomplete word. I think this is the beginning of the word SERPENT.

2 things come to mind - SERP could represent the word SERPENT which is what the snake can be called in English and she didn't finish the word.  OR it could be the initials of someone in her
family.  But I think it is the first idea.
